Obituary
Emily F. Thomas, age 88, of Hilliard, Ohio, former Waverly resident, died 10:10 A.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Traditions at Mill Run, Hilliard, Ohio. She was born April 7, 1921 in Grove City, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late William and Ella Mae Dearmit Forker. On September 28, 1946, she was united in marriage to Fredrick E. Thomas who preceded her in death April 17, 1991. She is survived by four son, W. Sam Niece of Redwood City, California, John F. Thomas of Aiken, South Carolina, Robert F. Thomas of Elida, Ohio, and Stephen E. Thomas of Santa Monica, California, one daughter, Marcia A. Thomas of Marble Cliff, Ohio, five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Emily was a homemaker, a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Waverly where she served as Elder, and was a volunteer for many years at Pike Community Hospital. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Waverly First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Richard S. Hays officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Traditions at Mill Run Foundation, 3550 Fishinger Road, Hilliard, Ohio 43026. Arrangements are under the direction of the Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly.
