Obituary
Earl H. "Sam" Euton, age 94 of McDermott, Ohio, died January 22, 2010 at Golden Years Health Care Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born September 27, 1915 in Henley, Ohio a son of the late John W. and Josephine Gray Euton . On June 11, 1937 he was united in marriage to Opal Faye Taylor Euton who preceded him in death May 6, 2001. He is survived by two daughters, Betty Mae Euton of McDermott, Ohio and Tammie Lynn and husband Greg Pate of West Portsmouth, Ohio, five grandchildren, Dale Deemer, Shane Shepherd, Shawna Vance, Brandon Pate and Sara Pate and five great grandchildren, Hailey, Makein, Nikale, Cidney and Emma. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Kay Vance, nine brothers and three sisters. Mr. Euton was a retired Assistant Superintendant for the Ohio Department of Transportation and attended Henley Baptist Church. Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Euton Cemetery with Robert L. Davis, Minister officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Botkin Funeral Home in Otway.
