Kathy E. Jewett, age 45, of S.R. 73 , Otway, Ohio, Passed away 8:55 P.M. Friday, February 12, 2010 at her residence. She was born July 18, 1964 in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of Ronald and Gertrude Runkle Jewett of Otway. Also surviving are her son, Dakota Lee Walter Jewett of Otway and his father, Loren Wamsley, one brother, Bryan K. Jewett and wife Opal of Lucasville, Ohio, two nieces, Ashley Jewett and Faith Jewett, both of Lucasville, one nephew, Brandon Jewett of Minford, Ohio, and many aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Allen Jewett, and grandparents, Walter H. and Ruth M. Jewett. A very special family to Kathy was Larry and Dottie Cooper's family. Kathy was a graduate of Scioto County Joint Vocational School in 1983. She also was an E.M.T. for Portsmouth Ambulance for several years. Funeral; services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Botkin Funeral Home in Otway with Pastor Larry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Oswego Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
