John R. Chandler, age 54, of Morningside Drive, Waverly, OH died at 1:20 PM Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010 at the Pike Community Hospital emergency room in Waverly, OH. He was born on September 14, 1956, to the late Conn Chandler and Willa Mae Salyer Chandler. On April 9, 1982, he was united in marriage to Karla Elaine McFadden, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Shawn, and wife Shelly Chandler, of Lancaster, OH; and Jessie Chandler, of Waverly, OH; a daughter, Donna and husband Larry Brown, of Waverly, OH; 2 brothers, Larry Chandler, of Waverly, OH, and Robert Chandler, of Mercede, CA; 4 sisters, Connie Rider of Junction City, KS, Ilene Short, of Hillsboro, OH, Debbie Newberry, of Piketon, OH, and Violet Robinson, of Marysville, OH; and four grandchildren, Kassady Chandler of Waverly, OH, Shane Chandler of Waverly, OH, and Mathew and Samantha Fisher, of Logan, OH. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harold Franklin Chandler, and Edward Lee Chandler; and 5 sisters, Dovie Jane Rider, Viriginia Lee Snyder, Karen Sue Chandler, Mary Sandra Chandler, and Esther Faye Chandler; and one grandchild, Jonathon Chandler. John was a supervisor with A.J. Asphalt in Columbus. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly, OH, with Pastor Alan Newberry officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery on Denver Road. Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday at the Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly.
